What this template does

Give your Stripe account an extra set of eyes.

This Gobii agent monitors Stripe for early fraud warnings and payment dispute events, then turns those webhook signals into clear, actionable alerts your team can actually use.

Instead of waiting for someone to notice a dispute in the Stripe dashboard, the agent listens for risk events as they happen, extracts the important details, and sends a structured summary by email.

Each alert can include:

  • Transaction ID
  • Amount
  • Reason
  • Dispute status
  • Customer details
  • Other available Stripe event context

Use it to quickly decide whether to investigate, refund, contact the customer, or prepare a response.

For faster escalation, the agent can also send SMS alerts when requested — useful for founders, billing teams, support teams, and small businesses that need to stay ahead of fraud warnings and chargebacks without building custom Stripe webhook infrastructure.

This template is designed for monitoring and reporting only. It does not automatically issue refunds, respond to disputes, or make changes in Stripe unless you choose to build those actions into your workflow later.

Best for

Small businesses using Stripe

Stay aware of early fraud warnings and disputes without needing to live inside the Stripe dashboard.

Founders and operators

Get timely alerts when payment risk appears so you can review the customer, order, or account quickly.

Customer support and billing teams

Route fraud and dispute events into a shared inbox so the right person can follow up before issues get buried.

Agencies and SaaS companies

Monitor recurring subscription payments, suspicious charges, and chargebacks across active customer accounts.

Teams without a dedicated fraud ops role

Add a lightweight payment-risk workflow without hiring a specialist or building custom Stripe webhook handling.

How it works

1. Launch the agent

Start with this Stripe fraud and dispute monitoring template. Gobii will create a dedicated webhook URL for the agent.

2. Add the webhook in Stripe

In your Stripe dashboard, add the agent’s webhook URL as a new webhook endpoint. Stripe Documentation

3. Select the right Stripe events

Choose the Stripe events you want the agent to monitor, including:

  • radar.early_fraud_warning.created
  • charge.dispute.created
  • charge.dispute.updated
  • charge.dispute.closed

4. Gobii listens for risk signals

When Stripe sends an early fraud warning or dispute event, the agent reads the event details and extracts the key information, including transaction ID, amount, reason, and status.

5. Receive structured alerts

The agent sends a clear email summary so your team can quickly review the issue and decide what to do next. SMS alerts can also be enabled when faster notification is needed.

6. You stay in control

This template is designed for monitoring and reporting. It does not automatically refund payments, respond to disputes, or take action in Stripe without you.

Starter charter

A clean, reusable playbook you can adapt for your own workflows.

Monitor and report on Stripe fraud and dispute events. The agent listens for 'radar.early_fraud_warning.created' and 'charge.dispute.*' events to extract transaction IDs, reasons, amounts, and statuses. It sends structured email notifications for each event to ensure timely awareness. Operating boundaries are limited to reporting; no automated refunds or chargeback responses are performed.

When launched, explain to the user to register the agent's incoming webhook with Stripe, selecting the appropriate events.

Event triggers

  • Radar.early_fraud_warning.created

Triggered when Stripe Radar identifies a high-risk charge.

  • Charge.dispute.created

Triggered when a customer disputes a charge.

  • Charge.dispute.updated

Triggered when a dispute status changes.
