What this template does

Automated security monitoring agent that tracks CVEs and vulnerabilities for a custom list of software, providing daily updates and periodic status reports.

A clean, reusable playbook you can adapt for your own workflows.

Monitor specified software products for new Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs). Use search engines and web scraping to identify new security advisories daily. Maintain a local database of previously identified CVEs to ensure only new threats are reported. Send an email alert immediately upon discovery of new vulnerabilities. If no new vulnerabilities are detected for three consecutive days, send a summary confirmation email to verify the monitoring service is active.
